Many things come into my mind when I think about my life, but the main things are friends and family. I have been very lucky with the family I have and in the friends I have attracted.
The crowning achievement of my life is my son. DJ has shown me many things not the least of which is how deeply one person can love another. Sure he is a trial and a lot of hard work at times, but as all parents know a cuddle and an ‘I love you Dad’ makes it all worthwhile.
My wife Carol is a godsend, she was meant to be my partner and to share with me the joys that life has to offer. Along with my step daughter we have a fine and at times tempestuous family life. (normality)
As far as friendships go I could not ask for two more faithful and stalwart partners in crime, who have been my friends for many years. I am proud and privileged to name Malcolm Whitear (Whit) and Jerry Pendleton as my two closest confidants and best friends. Malcolm I met in high school at the age of 14, we have been friends for 33 years, and although we do not live in each others pockets, (anymore) we enjoy every minute we have together like we saw each other only yesterday.
Jerry and I have been friends for around 23 years, he and I found common ground on our ideals and beliefs many years ago and this has not wavered over the years.
My name is Dale Alan Jones, I was born in Cottesloe Western Australia in the early hours one Sunday morning in 1962. I was the first child to Harold and Ann Jones.
I have two sisters Lisa and Kerri and a brother who did not make the transition to this world. I hope to see him again and catch up on the time we missed.
I have had a very lucky life having a loving family upbringing and good long term friendships.
